La mia storia

Mi chiamo Moreno Pellegrin ma praticamente chiunque mi conosca mi chiama con il mio soprannome Neno, classe 1981, sono nato e vivo a Canazei, un paesino di montagna nel cuore delle Dolomiti in provincia di Trento. Fin da bambino coltivo la straordinaria passione per tutto ciò che riguarda la natura ed i suoi abitanti. Tutto questo mi è stato tramandato da mio nonno, il quale mi ha insegnato praticamente tutto quello che c'è da sapere sugli animali selvatici, i loro comportamenti e le loro abitudini.

Ho sempre frequentato i boschi di casa forse ancor prima di imparare a camminare, ma solo nel 2003 mi sono avvicinato alla fotografia naturalistica. Ho iniziato questa mia avventura utilizzando la tecnica fotografica del Digiscoping (il cannocchiale da osservazione collegato ad una fotocamera tramite un apposito adattatore). Negli anni a seguire ho collaborato con alcune riviste del settore venatorio dove scrivevo articoli riguardanti la fotografia utilizzando appunto questa tecnica. Nel 2008 ho pubblicato un libro a riguardo intitolato "Il Grande libro del Digiscoping".

Il 2012 è stato un anno un pò speciale per me, perchè grazie ad una foto che ritrae un Gallo Forcello sotto al diluvio mi sono aggiudicato il Campionato Italiano di fotografia Naturalistica in Digiscoping, e poi sempre in quell'anno ho pubblicato un secondo libro intitolato "Storie" (sold out) , il quale appunto racconta storie di animali selvatici.

Dopo quella magica annata, ho abbandonato quasi definitivamente il Digiscoping per dedicarmi alla classica fotografia con il teleobiettivo in cerca di nuove esperienze fotografiche.

Nel corso degli anni, oltre che ad altre soddisfazioni di carattere personale (una menzione d'onore al Campionato Italiano di Fotografia Naturalistica nel 2013, un 3° posto nella sezione Fauna Selvatica al Concorso Internazionale Fotografare il Parco nel 2019 e negli ultimi 5 anni anche se senza esser arrivato a premio, con le mie immagini comunque riesco sempre a raggiungere la fase finale dei più importanti concorsi internazionali al mondo quali per esempio Asferico, Gdt European photographer of the year, Wildlifephotographer of the year, Oasis photo contest, Siena Sipa contest ecc). 

La mia passione per la fotografia mi ha portato anche in giro per il mondo, dall'America, all'Inghilterra e la Scozia fino all'Africa (che amo) dove fino ad oggi fra Kenya, Sudafrica e Tanzania ci sono stato ben 9 volte.

L'approccio ai miei viaggi è quello di stare il più possibile immerso nella Natura, infatti, amo fare camping con la tenda, non importa dove, I "miei" boschi, le Land Scozzesi, il parco di Yellowstone o la Savana Africana, ciò che conta per me è cercare di essere tutt'uno con il mondo selvaggio ed i suoi abitanti, e sentirmi parte di esso al 100%.

My name is Moreno Pellegrin but practically anyone who knows me calls me with my nickname Neno, born in 1981, I was born and live in Canazei, a mountain village in the heart of the Dolomites in the province of Trento. Since I was a child I have cultivated the extraordinary passion for everything related to nature and its inhabitants. All this was handed down to me by my grandfather, who taught me practically everything there is to know about wild animals, their behaviors and their habits.

I have always frequented my local forests perhaps even before learning to walk, but only in 2003 did I approach nature photography. I started my adventure using the photographic technique of Digiscoping (the observation telescope connected to a camera through a special adapter). In the following years I collaborated with some magazines in the hunting sector where I wrote articles concerning photography using precisely this technique. In 2008 I published a book about it entitled "The Great Digiscoping Book".

2012 was a year a little special for me, because thanks to a photo depicting a Black Grouse under the flood I won the Italian Championship of Naturalistic photography in Digiscoping, and then again in that year I published a second book entitled "Stories" (sold out), which precisely tells stories of wild animals.

After that magical year, I abandoned Digiscoping almost definitively to devote myself to classic telephoto photography in search of new photographic experiences.

Over the years, in addition to other satisfactions of a personal nature (an honorable mention at the Italian Championship of Naturalistic Photography in 2013, a 3rd place in the Wildlife section at the International Photographic Park Competition in 2019 and in the last 5 years also if without getting to the prize, with my images, however, I always manage to reach the final stage of the most important international competitions in the world such as Asferico, Gdt European photographer of the year, Wildlifephotographer of the year, Oasis photo contest, Siena Sipa Contest, etc--.).

My passion for photography has also taken me around the world, from America, England and Scotland to Africa (which I love) where up to now between Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania I have been there 9 times . The approach to my travels is to stay as much as possible immersed in Nature, in fact, I love camping with a tent, no matter where, "my" woods, the Scottish Land, the Yellowstone park or the African Savannah, what matters to me is to try to be one with the wild world and its inhabitants, and to feel 100% part of it.
